From beginning to the end…Yesterday, we toured Greenville’s Water Treatment Plant. Today, we toured Greenville’s Wastewater Treatment Plant!

In effort to learn more about infrastructure that makes business and communities possible, Bond County CEO students spent the morning with Wastewater Plant Superintendent Ryan Johnson .

Ryan shared the mechanical, biological, and chemical processes that occur to handle wastewater from Greenville’s residences and businesses. He also shared facts and data about the plant, environmental standards and practices that are in place, and the many parts, pieces, and costs necessary to do this work.

Thank you to Ryan and the Wastewater Treatment Team at the City of Greenville, Illinois! Thanks to Bill Walker for coordinating and joining the tour!
